Wake for dad, daughter who died in plane crash Sunday at Antioch High

The Antioch father and daughter who died in a plane crash last weekend near Burlington, Wis., will be waked together in the gymnasium at Antioch High School on Sunday because of expected crowds.
Visitation begins at noon Sunday followed by a memorial service at 6 p.m. Burial is private.
Nicole Parfitt, 14, and her father, Todd, 50, of unincorporated Antioch, were coming in for a landing at the Burlington Municipal Airport last Sunday when the plane crashed killing them both.
He was an experienced pilot and worked as a flight dispatcher for United Airlines for the past 15 years.
“Todd had a passion for aviation. He was adventurous and traveled the world with family and friends,” said the family.
His daughter had tweeted to her friends that day of a “Day with Dad” followed by a heart symbol. On the day after the crash, her friends wore purple, their class color, to Antioch High School in her honor.
She was a freshman at the Antioch Community High School where she excelled in dance. She was a member of the Extreme Artistry Dance Studio in Antioch.
Her father served in the. Air Force as a load master and was a member of the VFW Post in Antioch.
He graduated from Northeastern Illinois University in Chicago. He lived in Lindenhurst until 2005, when he moved to the Antioch area.
They are survived by wife and mother, Robin Parfitt, and son and brother, Bradley, 11.

Todd Parfitt married Robin Potts in Wadsworth on Sept. 25, 1993.
He is survived by his mother, Mary Beth Parfitt; his brother, Craig (Mary) Parfitt; mother-in-law, Dorothy Potts; in-laws, Dr. James (Margaret) Potts, Laura (Kevin) Chase, Tammy Williams, and Gary (Barbara) Potts.
He was preceded in death by his father, Alfred, in 1993 and his father-in-law, Kenneth Potts, in 2002.
