1. Parade and party
Parade and party: The village of Fox Lake and Korpan’s Landing will present the 56th annual Holiday Parade, “A Cinema Christmas,” and Children’s Christmas Party Nov. 24. The parade lines up at 10 a.m. at Grant High School, 285 E. Grand Ave. and will step off at 11 a.m. The parade travels west on Grand Avenue, turns left onto Rollins Road. The Children’s Holiday Party will be held at Lakefront Park, 71 Nippersink Blvd., after the parade. Details, (847) 587-2151 or www.foxlake.org.
2. Arts and crafts
Arts and Crafts Show, presented by Step By Step Promotions, will be held Nov. 24 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Nov. 25 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Lake County Fairgrounds, 1060 Peterson Road, between Routes 45 and 83, Grayslake. 3. Concert
Trippin Billies will perform Nov. 24 at 9 p.m. at 8 p.m. at Viper Alley, 275 Parkway Drive, Lincolnshire. Trippin Billies is a Dave Matthews Band tribute band. Tickets are $12-20. Details, (847) 499-5000 or www.viper-alley.com.
4. Holiday parade
Holiday Parade and Tree Lighting will be held Nov. 24 downtown Lake Villa. The lighted holiday parade will begin at 5 p.m. at Palombi School, 133 McKinley Ave., and end at Lehmann Park where the Tree Lighting Ceremony will commence. There will be hot chocolate and cookies at the train station, where Santa will make his appearance. Details, (847) 356-6100.
5. Carriage rides
Horse-drawn carriage rides will be offered Nov. 24 through Dec. 22 from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturdays beginning near Santa’s Enchanted Village on Toft Street in Antioch. Rides are free if you show $25 or more in sales receipts from an Antioch business dated within a week. Details, (847) 395-2233.
