Driver arrested after ecstasy pills found

A Fox Lake man was arrested after he admitted to having more than 300 ecstasy pills inside his vehicle after he was stopped for several traffic violations in Lake Zurich.
Christopher Walker, 36, of the 100 block of Maude Avenue, was arrested for unlawful possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession with intent to deliver and several traffic violations, according to the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.
Walker was stopped Nov. 30 at 7:15 p.m. near Route 12 and Quentin Road in Lake Zurich when the sheriff’s deputy making the stop became suspicious and requested a K-9 unit from a nearby police department. He admitted that he had ecstasy inside the vehicle and police recovered a total of 342 pills and $273 in cash.
Walker stated he delivered the pills for an unknown subject from Chicago. His 2005 GMC Sierra is pending forfeiture pursuant to the Illinois Controlled Substances Act.
Walker’s bond was set at $100,000 and he was released from custody after posting 10 percent of the bond. He is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday.
