Clerks ticketed for underage liquor sales

Clerks at four retail stores in unincorporated Mundelein, Antioch and Wadsworth were ticketed for selling alcohol to an informant under the age of 21 working for the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.
Alcohol compliance checks were made at retail liquor establishments between Dec. 19 and Dec. 27.
There were 48 establishments checked and four incidents of illegal sales to the underage informant, authorities said Tuesday. The violations were witnessed by an undercover sheriff’s detective.
Cited were Indravadan Patel, 58, of Hoffman Estates at Family Pantry, 21190 Commercial Drive, near Mundelein; Kiran Patel, 58, of Trevor, Wis., at the Country Store, 25238 Route 173, near Antioch; Anne Marie Gonzalez, 47, of the 23000 block of Briar Terrace, Antioch, at Citgo Gas, 41082 Route 83, near Antioch; and Josefina Mondragon-Soto, 42, address unknown, at Citgo Gas, 41452 Green Bay Road, near Wadsworth.
