Martial arts, a sport that’s growing in popularity with youth and old alike, added another area outlet recently with the opening of the Lake Villa Flying Dragons martial-arts school in Lake Villa.
The studio will be located at 89 Cedar Ave., which is the location for The Therapy Tree.
To kick off the new school, members of the Flying Dragons gave a demonstration recently to interested youths and adults, alike.
Head instructor at the studio will be Master Frank Mueller, and he’ll be assisted by Diane Gray.
Gray is a third-degree black belt and head instructor of the Round Lake Flying Dragons.
Also teaching at the Lake Villa facility will be second-degree black belt Krystina Mueller.
Frank Mueller has been training in martial arts for more than 25 years under Master Wayne Steinmetz of the McHenry Flying Dragons.
Classes will be held at the new studio in Lake Villa on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
For more information, contact Mueller at (815) 260-6490 or The Therapy Tree at (847) 265-7300.
The Lake Villa Flying Dragons will be a member of the American Kyuki-Do Federation.
