Lake County Coroner Dr. Thomas Rudd said the missing Grayslake man whose body was found at Campbell Airport died of a combination of alcohol and exposure to the elements.

Rudd said a Wednesday autopsy revealed that Joey Frase, 20, died from exposure and the young man had an alcohol reading of .09, which is above the legal limit of .08. He also said that Frase was not dressed for the weather. Toxicology results will take a few weeks.

Frase was found dead in a tree line Tuesday morning after police and fire personnel from the area were searching the airport grounds around 10:35 a.m., said Grayslake Police Chief Phil Perlini.

Rudd said there were no external signs of trauma on the body that would suggest foul play.

Round Lake Park Police Chief George Filenko said he called in evidence technicians with the Lake County Major Crime Task Force to gather evidence at the scene as a precaution.

Friends said Frase was walking home from a party in nearby Round Lake, but never made it home.
