WOODSTOCK — A former Winthrop Harbor man was sentenced to 15 years in prison for attempted armed robbery in McHenry County.
McHenry State’s Attorney Louis Bianchi said Monday that 25-year-old Tywon Williams was sentenced after being convicted of the Class 1 felony.
On Nov. 18, 2012, Williams, along with two accomplices, attacked and robbed Junious Norfleet inside his Hebron apartment, Bianchi said. The trio tied up Norfleet and demanded money.
The victim was beaten and suffered injuries to his face, the back of his head, and back, Bianchi said.
