A man in his late 20s was shot Tuesday in the arm while walking near the Marion Jones public housing complex in North Chicago.
North Chicago police said the man went to Vista Medical Center East in Waukegan and was treated for the bullet wound. The injury was non-life-threatening.
Police Cmdr. George McClary said Wednesday the man was walking near 14th Street and Sherman Road around 3 p.m. when he was shot.
“We don’t know if it was a drive-by, a walk-up or after a dispute,” he said. Although police are talking to the victim, they are not sure where he lives or his exact age. They are looking for any witnesses to the incident.
“We are trying to determine what led up to it,” said McClary. “All we know is he got shot one time.”
