Police identify body found in forest preserves; no foul play suspected

Police have identified the body of a 52-year-old Waukegan woman who was found in the Lyons Woods Forest Preserve July 30, and said foul play is not suspected.

Major Crime Task Force Commander George Filenko said the woman has been identified as Robin Mullane, of the 2600 block of Mohawk Road, Waukegan.

“It does not appear to be foul play, but we are waiting for the official cause of death,” he said, noting police are still waiting for a toxicology report to come back to the Lake County Coroner’s Office.

Lake County Forest Preserve rangers found the woman’s body at the popular forest preserve on the city’s far northeast side. They called in the task force in as a precaution, Filenko said.
