New Leader: Congregation Am Echod is welcoming cantor Jan Mahler as its new spiritual leader. She leads her next service at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 5, at 616 Bridgeport Terrace. Mundelein

New Pastor: Kirk of the Lakes Presbyterian Church welcomes new pastor Nancy Dolan at 1500 W. Hawley St. She will be leading the weekly worship service, providing pastoral care where needed, and guiding the congregation as it continues its “New Beginnings” discernment of God’s calling for the Kirk. She received her undergraduate degree in business and psychology from Furman University followed by a career in human resources with Allstate Insurance. She then received a Master of Divinity degree from McCormick Theological Seminary. Also, the Kirk joined with seven other Mundelein churches in feeding children who qualify for the free lunch program while in school. Over 2,600 lunches were provided over the summer. Wauconda

Waukegan

Celebration: The public is invited to share in the celebrations of Trinity A.M.E. Church’s rich heritage of 110 years of service to Christ and the community. The 110th church anniversary celebration will be held Sept. 13 and 14 at 210 South Ave. It will include a concert and a special Sunday morning service. Guest singers and choirs from Milwaukee, Wis. to Carbondale will be featured at the “Song and Praise Concert” at 6 p.m. Sept. 13. The concert will feature Minister Trenell Duffie & Youth Praising God, CES of Carbondale, Pure Worship of Milwaukee and Sign of the Dove. Robert Presley, Minister of Music for Trinity A.M.E. Church, will direct the special A.M.E. Church Alliance Choir for the special occasion and the Rev. Debra Stackhouse will be the accompanist. Trinity A.M.E’s praise dancers will perform as well. A reception will follow the concert. The anniversary will conclude with a special 11 a.m. Sunday morning worship service. Guest minister, the Rev. John Andrew McBride, pastor of Ebenezer Baptist Church in Zion, will deliver the message. Well known soloist, psalmist Deborah Biddle, will render songs of praises.
