Libertyville

Donation: Mickey Finn’s Brewery and Pet Factory presented a check for $5,000 on Oct. 10 to Save-A-Pet, an organization providing safe haven for abused, neglected, injured, or lost animals as well as those that have escaped euthanasia, leading to the successful adoption of over 40,000 dogs and cats. The money was raised from the creation and sale of Mickey Finn’s Pet Factory Wit at Mickey Finn’s Brewery during the July kickoff of Libertyville’s “Dog Days of Summer” celebration with a matching donation from Pet Factory. The donation coincides with Mickey Finn’s Brewery’s 20th anniversary as well as Pet Factory’s 25th anniversary. Amy Knudsen, Save-A-Pet vice president, said the $5,000 “will help save the lives of countless animals.”
