Updated: July 19, 2013 6:29AM

A Waukegan man was killed late Sunday, June 16, when the pickup truck he was a passenger in crashed off Route 45 north of Grass Lake Road in Old Mill Creek.

According to Lake County Coroner Dr. Thomas Rudd, 42-year-old James Jenelewicz was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident around 11:11 p.m.

Personnel from the Lake Villa Fire Department responded to the scene and reported that the truck was found on its roof in a ditch, requiring extrication of both Jenelewicz and the driver, who survived the accident.

A Lake Villa rescue squad transported the driver, a male, to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville.

Lake County Sheriff’s Police did not have information available about the incident or the driver when contacted Monday afternoon.

Rudd added that an autopsy was scheduled for late Monday afternoon on Jenelewicz, who reportedly was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
