Broken Oar Marina in Port Barrington to host boat show

The Lake County area isn’t home to a lot of boat shows and expos, but one such event is coming up on Saturday, Sept. 21.
That’s when the Broken Oar Marina Bar & Grill will present a fall boat and sport-fishing expo at on the water at 614 Rawson Bridge Road in Port Barrington (southwest of Island Lake).
Broken Oar is a big sponsor and supporter of Walleyes Unlimited, and all W.U. members, family and friends, along with all outdoor enthusiasts are welcome to come out for the fun event between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m.
Admission is free and test rides from several boat manufacturers. As of this week, Broken Oar has commitments to participate from from Broken Oars Yar Craft and Weeres pontoon boats, Bedford sales’ Ranger, Smoker Craft, Lund and Sylvan boats. Prince Craft Legand, Bass Cat, Skeeter and Tuffy.
Potential showings may also include Tracker, Nitro, Alumacraft, Stratus, and Charger.
In addition to boat manufacturers, Walleyes Unlimited, Rapala, Frabil, and Do-It reps are also committed to be on hand. Potential other reps may be for Plano, Lowrance, Denali Rods, Bass Craft and Krypton lures.
Additional sponsors include Anthony Motors Chevy. The list is ever- changing so come see who shows up.
