LINCOLNSHIRE — Healthy Woman, a Vista Health System resource, is celebrating its sixth anniversary Oct. 3 at the Lincolnshire Marriott Resort at 10 Marriott Drive.
The annual event will begin with a free Women’s Health Expo from 3 to 6:30 p.m., followed by a ticketed dinner from 7 to 9 p.m. featuring inspirational guest speaker Kim Lyons from NBC’s “The Biggest Loser.”
The Expo will include free screenings for blood pressure, cholesterol, bone density and more. Vista physicians, nurses and staff will provide information on a wide range of women’s health issues.
From 4 to 5:30 p.m., there will be four physician presentations on women’s health topics, including athletic injuries, urinary issues, vitamin supplements and sexual health. Also, dozens of local vendors will offer a variety of beauty products, apparel, jewelry, spa/fitness services, popular household items, items for purchase and much more.
The ticketed dinner will feature Lyons’ presentation titled “Healthy Mind, Body & Spirit.” She will share her five essential tips to live a healthy lifestyle and achieve emotional, physical and mental balance.
In addition to her notoriety from television, Lyons is a prenatal specialist with more than 16 years of experience as a personal trainer and nutrition coach.
