Round Lake Park police netted 27 grams of cocaine and other drugs, and made an arrest in a bust last Thursday.
Gang unit officers executed a search warrant at about 8 p.m. at 317 Wildwood Dr., in Round Lake Beach and arrested Miguel Martinez Jr., 22, an alleged member of the Maniac2 Latin Disciples, according to a statement issued by the department.
Police also found 540 grams of marijuana, 17 Oxycotin pills, and drug paraphernalia. They also seized $664 in cash.
Martinez has been charged with multiple felony counts of possession of a controlled substance and intent to deliver. He is being held on $100,000 bond at Lake County Jail.
“Gang officers will continue targeting local gangs until the message is clear — ‘Not here in our community,’” said Round Lake Park Police Chief George Filenko.
