Knife displayed during argument at Zion middle school

An argument before classes at Central Middle School in Zion on Wednesday morning, where a knife was displayed resulted in an investigation by police and charges are expected.
Zion police said they were called to the school at 1716 27th St. for a stabbing and that the incident occurred before students entered the building. They said there was a small isolated argument and a folding pocket knife was displayed. School staff had the incident under control before police arrived.
No stabbing occurred and an arrest and charges are expected. There were some small scratch-type injuries to a student that was being treated.
