Waukegan police are asking residents to help find a man who allegedly sexually assaulted a 17-year-old girl and was using a gold 2000 Nissan Pathfinder in the commission of the crime.

Waukegan police are asking for help find a man who allegedly sexually assaulted a 17-year-old girl and was using a gold 2000 Nissan Pathfinder in the commission of the crime.

Police said on Dec. 5 the woman reported she had been approached by a black male with dark skin, in his early 40s and about 5 feet 9 inches tall. She was allegedly sexually assaulted near Belvidere Road and Jackson Street. The vehicle was captured by surveillance camera.

The suspect approached the victim in the early evening hours near that intersection.

Investigators with the Criminal Investigations Division are currently looking for anyone with information about this incident.
