A 53-year-old Grayslake man is being held on $75,000 bond and faces charges of child pornography after police found a hidden computer in his home while executing a search warrant.

The Lake County Sheriff’s Office Cybercrimes Unit, with assistance from special investigators of the Lake County State’s Attorney’s Office, conducted the child pornography investigation which resulted in the execution of a search warrant.

Brian Stroud of the 0-100 block of Pine Street, Grayslake was charged with two counts of possession of child pornography after police searched his home Jan. 10. He was cooperative and led police to the location of the hidden computer, on which a forensic examination at the scene found numerous pornographic images, including child pornography.

Police also seized numerous other devices capable of storing electronic media.

Because of the extensive amount of pornography, the investigation is still active and more charges could be filed after the additional devices have been checked.
