North Shore Trust: North Shore Trust and Savings has announced that Mary Lou Tallon has joined the thrift’s residential mortgage team. An experienced loan originator, she comes to North Shore with more than 20 years of lending experience. Prior to joining North Shore, Tallon was with Fifth Third Bank of Gurnee. She received her degree in business administration from American InterContinental University, Hoffman Estates.

Lead physician: Neurologist Dr. Felise Zollman brings more than 20 years experience treating patients with brain injuries and neurological disorders to her new position as the physician lead for memory disorders at NorthShore University HealthSystem, Highland Park. She will also co-lead the NorthShore head injury program with another nationally recognized expert, Dr. Julian Bailes, chairman of neurosurgery, who joined NorthShore in September 2011. Zollman previously was medical director of the Brain Injury Medicine and Rehabilitation Program at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago. She is board certified in neurology, is a certified member of the American Society of Neurorehabilitation and a diplomat of the American Board of Medical Acupuncture. In addition, she was an assistant professor at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. Zollman completed a residency in neurology at University of Southern California after completing an internal medicine internship at UCLA and a second year of internal medicine at Baylor College of Medicine, where she earned her medical degree.

Recognized: Noah Seidenberg, an independent financial advisor at Seidenberg Investment Group, Grayslake, has been recognized as a top financial adviser and named to the LPL Financial Chairman’s Club. LPL Financial is an independent consultant to retirement plans with offices in Boston, Charlotte, N.C., and San Diego.

Park award: Libby Baker, president of the Gurnee Park District Board of Commissioners, was awarded the Distinctive Board Member Award during the recent annual Illinois Association of Park Districts and Illinois Parks and Recreation Association. The award, part of the IAPD Board Member Development Program, gives recognition to local board members who consistently go above and beyond the call of duty through committee involvement, attendance at continuing educational opportunities and achievements at the local, state and national levels. Baker has been a park commissioner for more than eight years and has led the district as president for the last three years.

Award recipient: Round Lake Area Park District Commissioner Tim Pasternak was given the Illinois Association of Park District’s Rising Star Award at the group’s recent convention in Chicago. The honor is presented to an up and coming board member who has completed a minimum of one year, but no more than six years of service as a park district board member. Pasternak has been a commissioner since 2006.
