GRAYSLAKE — Advance Auto Parts, Inc., will open its first store here at 995 E. Belvidere Road next to Chase Bank on Friday, Aug. 31.
Company officials of the Roanoke, Va.-based automotive aftermarket retailer said they chose the store’s location because it’s convenient to where their customers live and shop, as well as the garages where they take their vehicles for repair.
Terry Holley is the new general manager and works with ten others at the new location. An eight-year veteran of the automotive and retail sales industries, Holley has been with Advance Auto Parts for five years.
The new store will offer customers a wide range of parts and recognized national brands, as well as several free services. Employees will install windshield wipers for free and also install batteries following a complimentary check of the vehicle’s electrical system and old battery. The store offers fast parts delivery to local commercial customers such as professional mechanics and garages. Customers also can drop off used motor oil and batteries for recycling.
Other area Advance stores are located in Round Lake Beach, Lake Zurich, Waukegan, North Chicago, Zion, Mundelein, Antioch and Wauconda.
Nationwide, the company operates 3,692 stores in 39 states, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.
