Home Depot veterans job workshop Oct. 27

GURNEE — Home Depot has launched Mission: Transition to help service members and veterans successfully navigate the transition into the civilian workforce.
As part of the initiative, the Gurnee Home Depot, 6625 Grand Ave., will host a Civilian Career Workshop on Oct. 27 from 2 to 5 p.m. During the workshop, veterans and military personnel will participate in sessions focused on job search strategies, resume optimization and interviewing tips.
Registration for events is now open. Attendees must register online in advance of the workshops at careers.homedepot.com/military. Additional details are below.
Home Depot currently employs more than 35,000 active duty military personnel and veterans, and last year hired more than 9,000 veterans. There are an estimated 720,000 unemployed military veterans in the U.S.
