The new restaurant that will feature Mexican cuisine will be open all day offering breakfast, lunch and dinner. Giles plans to employ several of his family members, as well as others at the new business.
The restaurant will be called Buena Vista. “It means good see (view),” said Giles of the eatery’s moniker.
Giles said the parking lot which can hold up to 50 vehicles. He also plans to install new signage. Right now the old Corky’s Pub sign states “Closed — New Owners Soon.”
“I’m going to have two new signs put up,” said Giles. “One will be on Lewis Avenue and the other out here (on Wadsworth Road).”
He said he previously owned a Mexican restaurant in Round Lake Beach which he sold.
Giles, a citizen of the United States has been in this country for the past 28 years. He said he came to the U.S. from his hometown of Guerrero, Mexico.
