Lindenhurst-Lake Villa Chamber launches shop local program

LINDENHURST — The Lindenhurst-Lake Villa Chamber of Commerce has kicked off its “Shop, Think, Buy Local” initiative.

The new program encourages community members to shop in Lindenhurst and Lake Villa in order to support the local economy.

“Shopping from local retailers and service providers supports our local businesses, preserves jobs locally and enhances the local tax base,” a Chamber spokeswoman said. “Keeping your dollars in Lindenhurst and Lake Villa ensures a vibrant economic future for the area. A strong economic base also makes the villages more attractive to potential retailers.”

The Chamber has launched a new Web site, www.shopllv.com which features deals and incentives offered by local businesses.
