The Salvation Army held its 10th annual “Hope Fore Kids” Golf Classic at The Glen Club, 2901 W. Lake Ave., Glenview, recently.

The tournament included a full day of leisure activities. Beginning with a golf clinic hosted by professional golfers, followed by lunch and golf with a shotgun start at 12:30 p.m. The tournament also featured a variety of contests and prizes. The event culminated in an evening beverage reception and dinner that included a live auction and awards program.

This year’s event was presented by Bandon Dunes and KemperSports. The event attracted 128 golfers from Chicagoland’s business and philanthropic communities and raised nearly $200,000 toward The Salvation Army’s youth programs, which include child care, before-school and after-school programs, art, music and educational instruction, emergency shelter, character-building programs and other recreational activities.
