KeyLime Cove of Gurnee announced the promotion of Holly Rinal to the role of Executive Chef.

Promotion: KeyLime Cove announced the promotion of Holly Rinal to the role of executive chef. In her new position she is responsible for the creation of new dishes, menu design, team training for KeyLime’s six restaurants and eateries as well as special event and banquet service. Rinal joined the KeyLime Cove culinary team in 2008 as executive sous chef. In the years that ensued, she implemented a more efficient inventory control system, managed all food and beverage purchasing and receiving, and has been directly involved in menu planning, recently amending menus to meet more specific dietary needs including gluten-, dairy- and peanut-free options.
Winner: Mrs. Illinois International, Amy Gregorio, 40, of Northfield, was crowned Mrs. International 2013 at the 28th annual pageant held at the North Shore Center for the Performing Arts, Skokie. Gregorio, former Associated Press award-winning journalist, said she will devote her year representing Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), Vernon Hills, increasing awareness about how people can help abused children to make a positive difference in their lives. It was through her experience as a police reporter that she witnessed children who were hungry, abused and helpless. She saw the results of extreme poverty and neglect and decided to volunteer for CASA in 2008.
