WAUKEGAN — The award-winning Prima Trio, comprised of violin, clarinet and piano, will present their trademark virtuosity Nov. 4 at 3 p.m. at the Orlin Trapp Auditorium at Waukegan High School, 2325 Brookside Ave.
Single tickets are available at the auditorium on the night of the performance for $30 or by calling Donna at (847) 244-7465.
The Prima Trio was formed in 2004 and debuted at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C. in 2006. Guilia Gurevich (violin/viola, Uzbekistan), Boris Allakhverdyan (clarinet, Azerbaijan) and Anastasia Dedik (piano, Russia) met as students at the Oberlin Conservatory in Ohio. Each has distinguished themself as a soloist internationally and as a trio they have met with equal success.
Among their prizes, Prima Trio won the Grand Prize and Gold Medal in the Senior Division at the prestigious Fischoff Chamber Music Competition (South Bend, Ind.) in 2007, earning a domestic tour and debut at Italy’s Emilia Romagna Festival. The trio has appeared on stages across North America and Europe and is currently on a 50-city tour of the U.S. through concert presenter Live On Stage.
