1. Holiday kickoff
Long Grove’s holiday kickoff will begin with a tree-lighting ceremony Nov. 10 at 4 p.m. at Old McHenry and Robert Parker Coffin roads. Also, Roger Pauly will perform with special guest Steve Joyce, formerly of Dave Major & The Minors, at 6:30 p.m. at The Village Tavern, 135 Old McHenry Road. 2. Concert

3. Concert chorus
Waukegan Concert Chorus will perform a concert titled “An Array of American Anthems” Nov. 11 at 4 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 122 N. Martin Luther King Jr. Ave., Waukegan. Tickets are $12, $10 for senior and military, $7 for students, 19 and older with I.D. and free for students 8 years and younger. Ages 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult. 4. Craft fair

5. Magic show
