FullScore Orchestra will perform Dec. 14 at 7 p.m. at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 6401 Gages Lake Road, Gurnee, and Dec. 15 at 7 p.m. at Grace Missionary Church, 1415 27th St. in Zion.
This concert has become a holiday tradition for many as the audience has the option to participate in singing along with the choir as the orchestra performs Handel’s “Messiah.” Before the concert begins and while the audience enters the church, a brass quintet sounds out holiday music, setting an atmosphere of peace and joy.
The FullScore orchestra was founded in 2003 for the purpose to passionately create professional level concerts for all ages as well as promote the beauty of orchestral music.
While all the members of FullScore teach music and play professionally, the orchestra regularly invites advanced students and community players to participate in performances, adding a unique and exciting dynamic that has become the energetic and educational back bone of the orchestra.
Tickets are $10 and are available at the door or by calling Paul at (847) 404-7921. More information, visit fullscore.org.
