College of Lake County, Grayslake

Sale: The annual Holiday Art Sale will be held Dec. 1 from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Dec. 2 from 1 to 5 p.m., Dec. 3 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Dec. 4 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 19351 W. Washington St. The juried sale will feature original art by 30 Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin artists, including hand-made jewelry, wearable art, decorative and functional ceramics, wood and metal sculpture, fused and blown glass, mosaics, soaps and candles. The sale is sponsored by the CLC Foundation. A portion of the proceeds help fund student scholarships. Also, holiday shopping will be at the Artcetera Gallery Winter Sale Dec. 11-12 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Details, (847) 543-2405.

Concert: CLC Jazz Combo will perform Dec. 3 at 7:30 p.m. Directed by CLC adjunct music instructor Tim Barclay, the combo will play several pieces written by its members. Details, (847) 543-2040.

Toys for Tots: CLC Classified Senate is sponsoring a toy drive in conjunction with the Marine Corps Reserves Toys for Tots Program. Three drop-off boxes are available until Dec. 14 at the CLC Grayslake campus where students and community members can donate new, unwrapped toys. Collection boxes are located in the Library, at the Information Desk in the Main Lobby and in the P.E. Center (Building 7).

Parkside, Kenosha

Concerts: UW-Parkside Community Orchestra and Choirs will perform Dec. 1 at 7:30 p.m. and the Jazz Ensemble will perform Dec. 4 at 7:30 p.m. at 900 Wood Road. Tickets are $5-8 and free. Details, (262) 595-2564.

Fair: The annual arts and crafts fair will be held Dec. 1 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. It will feature 200 artisans and crafters from throughout the Midwest. There will be raffles and silent auctions. Proceeds benefit the Student Leadership Scholarship Fund. Details, (262) 595-2200.
