SCREENING: Free health screenings Dec. 17 from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Hickory Manor Apartments, 4160 Continental Drive, Waukegan. The screenings are provided by Rosalind Franklin University Health System’s Community Care Connection (formerly known as CareCoach). The screenings include checks for blood pressure, waist measurements, diabetes, cholesterol, BMI and more. Also, Walgreens will provide flu shots. Anyone with a state-issued Medical Card will get the flu shot free of charge. Others that do not have a Medical Card may use their insurance cards or self-pay. Details, (847) 244-9696.

BLOOD DRIVE: The Antioch Fire Department will host a blood drive, as part of the Firefighters Challenge in partnership with Lifesource to meet the critical need for blood in the area, Dec. 17 from 1 to 7 p.m. at Fire Station No. 1 at 835 Holbek. IMMUNIZATIONS: Child immunization clinic hours are by appointment at the Health Department’s Immunizations Clinic, 2303 Dodge Ave., Waukegan, on Mondays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.; on Tuesday, and Friday from 1 to 3 p.m.; on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.; and the second Saturday of each month from 9 to 11 a.m. Also, the Health Department is offering flu and pneumonia vaccinations to the general public by appointment only at the Health Department’s Immunizations Clinic.
