Yetis story and craft: Children ages 3-12 are invited to listen to stories about abominable snowmen then create their own to take home Jan. 7 at 2 p.m. Registration required.

Anime Club: Teens are invited to hang out and explore Japanese culture through anime and manga Mondays from 4:30-6 p.m. For ages 12-19. Registration required.

Bubble wonders: “Bubbleologist” Geoff Akins will prove that anything is possible when he produces electric dancing bubbles and incredible square bubbles Jan. 7 at 6:30 p.m. Registration required.

e-books to ipad/iphone: Learn how to use e-book service, MyMediaMall, to download free e-books to your ipad/iphone Jan. 7 at 7 p.m. Bring your ipad/iphone and your library card. Registration required.

Chess and cookies: Spend an evening with friends playing chess Jan. 8 at 6:30 p.m. This month’s topic is “Tactics and Strategy.” All ages and skill levels welcome. Registration required.

E-Reader help: Walk-ins are welcome at this time for help with their e-readers Jan. 9, 16, 23 and 30 from 11 a.m. to noon. Bring your device, library card, your laptop if you have one and your Amazon.com account information if you have a Kindle.

Creative writing: “Fractured Fairy Tales” will be the subject for this month’s class for ages 7-12 Jan. 9 at 4 p.m. Participants will pick a fairy tale and rewrite it from the point of view of one of the characters. Registration required.

Learn Microsoft Word-Part I: Introduction to the features of Microsoft Word will be held Jan. 9 at 6:30 p.m. Topics include creating a new document, saving and navigating, formatting and print. Signing up for Part I automatically registers you for Part II.
