WEIGHT MANAGEMENT: “Taking Charge of Your Weight,” a free community education program on weight management, will be presented Jan. 28 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Advocate Condell Medical’s Conference Center, 800 Garfield Ave., Libertyville. Dr. Jennifer Debruler, internal medicine and medical director of the center’s Weight Management Program, will talk about weight management and give tips on how to find the right program. Dr. Aras Tijunelis, plastic and reconstructive surgery, will talk about surgical options for weight loss and cosmetic procedures after the pounds come off. DISORDERS: Psychiatrist Dr. Smita Reddy will present a free public education program detailing what Seasonal Affective Disorder is and how it can be treated Jan. 30 from 7 to 8 p.m. at 830 West End Court, Suite 400, Vernon Hills. IMMUNIZATIONS: Child immunization clinic hours are by appointment at the Health Department’s Immunizations Clinic, 2303 Dodge Ave., Waukegan, on Mondays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.; on Tuesday, and Friday from 1 to 3 p.m.; on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.; and the second Saturday of each month from 9 to 11 a.m. Also, the Health Department is offering flu and pneumonia vaccinations to the general public by appointment only at the Health Department’s Immunizations Clinic. LOSS (Loving Outreach to Survivors of Suicide): A group meets Jan. 24 from 5-7 p.m. to provide services for those who are grieving a death by suicide of a family member or close friend at Carmel High School, One Carmel Parkway, Mundelein. Details, (312) 655-7283.

REASON FOR HOPE: Cancer Support Group meets Jan. 24 at 7 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, corner of West Street and Martin Luther King Drive, Waukegan. For patients, survivors, caregivers and those who have lost a loved one. Details, (847) 791-7843.

NATIONAL ALLIANCE ON MENTAL ILLNESS OF LAKE COUNTY: The mission is to provide support, education, advocacy, and resources to those who suffer from neurobiological brain disorders and their families.
