Storytelling: The Prairie Wind Guild will bring to life the Gospel of Mark told as a story Jan. 27 from 3 to 5:15 p.m. at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 1822 E. Grand Ave., two blocks west of the Linden Plaza. Come for Mark, and stay for a potluck afterward. Bring a room temperature dish to share. St. Mark will provide the main meat for the potluck. The Prairie Wind Guild is a group of folks in the Chicago-Northern Illinois-Lake Michigan area who are passionate about learning by heart and telling sacred stories. Prairie Wind Guild is associated with the Network of Biblical Storytellers International. Benefit: First Corinthian Missionary Baptist Church, 1529 Elizabeth Ave., will present the “Giving Back” Cancer Benefit Musical honoring Kenny O’Neal Jan. 27 at 4 p.m. Featured will be BET “Sunday Best” finalist psalmist Shari Addison, gospel recording artist Minister Adria McNair, GMAP Internet radio personality Elder Kevin Strawder, Gideon MBC Choir, First Corinthian Male Chorus and the Voices of Corinthian.
