Jim Rowan will discuss “Remnants of the Illinois Wilderness.” Rowan has been associated with North Park Village Nature Center in Chicago as well as Northwestern University and the Fort Dearborn Audubon Society. His program explores some of the remaining forests, prairies and wetlands in Illinois, and he will share his knowledge of the wildflowers and animal life that have survived mans’ encroachment.
