1. Parade, service
The Memorial Day Parade and Service will be held in Grayslake. The parade will kick off at 9:30 a.m. from the Hillside Avenue parking lot across from Grayslake Central High School on Lake Street and travel south on Lake Street to Junior and east on Junior to Memorial Park. The service will be held at Memorial Park immediately following the parade. Sgt. Ronald Runkle, U.S. Army (retired) will be the keynote speaker. For more information, call (847) 223-8515.
2. Parade and service
Memorial Day Parade will be held at 1 p.m. in Lake Villa. It begins at Palombi School on McKinley and ends in Lehman Park, 89 Cedar Ave, with a ceremony with the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Details, (847) 356-6100 or www.lake-villa.org.
The North Chicago American Legion and North Shore Garden of Memories will hold a Memorial Day program at 10:30 a.m. at North Shore Garden of Memories, 1801 Green Bay Road.

Lake Forest American Legion will hold a Memorial Day ceremony at 11 a.m. in Market Square, downtown.
