Concerts: The Holiday Wind Ensemble Concert will be presented at 7 p.m. Dec. 15. Conducted by Dr. Michael Flack, the 49-member Wind Ensemble will perform crowd-pleasing favorites and holiday tunes. The Concert Band’s fall semester concert will be presented at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 18. The 60-member Concert Band, directed by John Mose, will perform a concert of holiday favorites and traditional band repertoire. Both concerts will be presented in the Mainstage Theatre of the James Lumber Center for the Performing Arts, 19351 W. Washington St., Grayslake. Tickets are $5-$6 for adults. Gospel tickets: CLC’s 30th annual Salute to Gospel Music program will be held at 7 p.m. Feb. 22, 2014 at the Genesee Theatre, 203 N. Genesee St., Waukegan. The two featured performers will be Beverly Crawford along with Janet Sutton and the Voices of Acme. The program will celebrate Black History Month and CLC’s 44th anniversary with the theme of “The Evolution of the Gospel Choir, According to CLC.” Through Dec. 23, a special buy one, get one free ticket offer will be available only through the CLC Lakeshore Campus, 33 N. Genesee St., Waukegan. For groups of 30 or more, tickets may be purchased at $4 off the general admission price and includes a private, pre-show reception. Each group or organization is entitled to reassign the price of the tickets and keep all proceeds raised above the discounted price.
