Vacancy on Avon Town Board

ROUND LAKE PARK — The Avon Township board will be accepting applications to fill a vacancy in the elected office of township trustee since Chris Ditton was named assessor in late December 2011.
The current term is set to expire May 20, 2013.
Interested applicants can pick up an application packet at the Supervisor Sam Yingling’s office, 433 E. Washington St., Round Lake Park.
Application packets are due back to Yingling no later than noon Feb. 10, 2012. All applicants must be a resident of Avon Township as well as be either a registered voter or able to register to vote.
Avon Township includes all or parts of Grayslake, Hainesville, Round Lake, Round Lake Beach, Round Lake Park, Round Lake Heights and Third Lake.
