Drug arrest: Julio Rios, 22, of Zion was arrested Oct. 12 and charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance (cocaine), driving under the influence, possession of drug paraphernalia, and speeding after a traffic stop near 11th Street and Lewis Avenue.

Traffic arrest: Israel Espinoza-Sosa, 25, of Waukegan was arrested Oct. 12 and charged with obstruction of justice, speeding, illegal transportation of alcohol, driving on a revoked license, speeding, littering and operating an uninsured vehicle after being pulled over in the 400 block of Sheridan Road. He was also wanted on a warrant.

Endangering a child: Autumn Martin, 30, of Zion was arrested Oct. 20 and charged with endangering the life of a child, DUI, improper lane usage and operating a vehicle without insurance after being pulled over for multiple lane violations in the 1400 block of Sheridan Road. There were three children inside the vehicle.

Burglary: A resident in the 1000 block of Mary Lane reported Oct. 15 that someone took an Inspirion laptop computer valued at $759 from inside their vehicle.

Burglary: A resident in the 1000 block of Sheridan Road reported Oct. 19 that someone took a Garmin GPS, cellular telephone charger, and $15 in quarters from inside their vehicle.
