Lindenhurst man wins $40,000 in lottery

A Lindenhurst resident who lost his mother to breast cancer won $40,000 playing the Illinois Lottery’s Carolyn Adams Ticket for the Cure, an instant ticket where 100 percent of net proceeds go to breast cancer research and education.
Lottery representatives will announce the winner and present him with a ceremonial check just before the puck drops at the Chicago Wolves Breast Cancer Awareness Night hockey game at 6:45 p.m. today, Oct. 27, at Allstate Arena, 6920 N. Mannheim Road, Rosemont.
