Officials are investigating what caused an empty cabin at Camp Henry Horner to catch fire Friday night, Fox Lake Bat. Chief Ed Lescher said Sunday.
Firefighters found one cabin “fully involved” when they arrived Friday evening, Lescher said. The cabin had no occupants and had already been winterized, he said. It took about 30 minutes to extinguish, he said.
No injuries were reported.
The cabin was 15 feet x 25 feet and in a cluster of cabins. Just one of the cabins was on fire. The cause is under investigation.
