BURLINGTON, Wis. — An Antioch man and his daughter died in the crash of a small plane in southeastern Wisconsin.
The Walworth County Sheriff’s Department identified the victims Monday as 50-year-old Todd Parfitt and 14-year-old Nicole Parfitt. They are believed to have lived in the Hidden Glen subdivision.
The plane crash occurred west of Burlington Municipal Airport on Sunday afternoon. Authorities say both victims were thrown from the plane.
Officials say it appears the pilot was attempting to land when the plane went down in a cornfield. Federal investigators are beginning their work to find out what caused the fatal crash of the single-engine Grumman.
Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Lynn Lunsford says it’s not immediately clear where the flight originated.
