Charges were filed against an Ingleside man after he barricaded himself inside a home Friday and threatened to kill his girlfriend, authorities said Monday.
A Lake County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman said Frank Lesnicki, 35, allegedly pointed a Detectives Model .38 Special snub nose six-shot revolver at his girlfriend’s head and told her he was going to kill her. He then barricaded himself in the residence in the 26000 block of Squaw Road, but gave himself up after about two hours.
Lesnicki was charged with possession of a firearm, revoked Firearm Owner’s Identification Card, domestic battery, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and resisting a peace officer. His bond was set at $100,000 and he was released after posting 10 percent of that amount.
The barricade incident Friday forced sheriff’s deputies to notify schools in the area, which went into a lockdown situation.
The barricade situation lasted from 1:37-3:30 p.m. when the suspect was taken into custody without incident.
Lesnicki’s next court date is scheduled for Dec. 13.
