LAKE ZURICH — Police said Thursday a 21-year-old male was stabbed twice in the abdomen in the parking lot of the McDonald’s at 653 S. Rand Road just before 2 a.m. Wednesday.

The victim received treatment for his injuries at Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital, Lake Barrington, police said.

Police described the offender as a white male approximately 17 to 22 years of age. The offender was described as tall and thin with short brown hair and no facial hair. Police said the offender left the scene in a dark-colored passenger vehicle.

Police said the passenger in the front seat of the vehicle also was described as a white male about 17 to 22 years of age with curly light brown hair. Police said a witness described the passenger as tall and thin and wearing “skater” clothing.

“We have developed some leads, and we’re going to follow up on them,” Police Cmdr. David Bradstreet said.

Police are urging anyone with information regarding the case to contact the department’s Criminal Investigations Division at (847) 719-1695. Information may be given anonymously and individuals who provide valid information may be eligible for a cash reward, police said.
