Man dies from head injuries incurred during fall

A 51-year-old man succumbed to a brain injury he incurred while helping his disabled son navigate stairs earlier this week.
Barry Walls passed away last Friday of a brain injury, according to Lake County Crooner Dr. Thomas Rudd. Walls fell down six steps and struck his head on Thursday. He was admitted to Advocate Condell Medical Center and died the next day.
He is survived by a wife and son, according to Rudd. Further information was not immediately available.
