WAUCONDA — Village officials have announced a new marketing logo and tagline.
The new logo — a ribbon of waves sprouting a tree leaf — reflects Wauconda’s dedication to maintaining its natural beauty while reflecting an active community spirit that is fresh, inspiring and creatively progressive, officials said. The tagline is “Spirit, water, wonder”.
Developed by the marketing firm of Robin Malpass and Associates of Ottawa, the new image is the result of strategic research, test marketing and input from a Wauconda community stakeholders group.
“We have seen the entire village grow as a result of residents and businesses that choose to call Wauconda their home,” Mayor Mark Knigge said. “The goal is to appeal to three potential audiences: Business owners, families and empty nesters. As a community, we have a lot to offer to those groups.”
The new design will be integrated into print and marketing materials, the village’s main Web site, banners and signs, and promotional materials meant to attract new residents, businesses, and visitors.
