Maybe next year
Thanks, Chicago Bears. Once again we have to say, “Maybe next year.” Thanks, Lovie, for a great year.
Mark Curran is going to run for attorney general. This is ridiculous. He is out of his mind. What is he going to do, give illegals the right to vote for him, too? The man should be kicked out of office. What part of illegal doesn’t he understand?
Lindenhurst wants to spend $21,000 on a survey for a piece of property they don’t own and it’s for a development on Route 45. Where do they get off spending the taxpayers’ money on something that should be done by the developer? I don’t understand. What’s wrong with these villages? It should be stopped.
Board of Review
Something needs to be done with all of those old people on the Board of Review for property tax assessments. They do not want to give people who live in their homes homestead exemptions for seniors. I think they are all Republicans and need to retire. We need new faces. They are unfair.
Unions are organized labor. It’s as simple as that. It’s not a bad thing.
Some of the military families get WIC and food stamps. Eighty percent of the food in the grocery store is junk, processed food. Healthy food like vegetables, meat and fruit is expensive. Every government program has fraud. For instance, Medicare has double-dipping. Also, there is no program in place that if they’re caught to punish them.
Speaker Boehner is still sticking to Grover Norquist’s pledge about taxing the rich and to heck with the country. Let’s hold Boehner responsible. Same old story.
Regarding the reader who stated they don’t need to see a teacher on the front page of The News-Sun. I can’t believe The News-Sun prints stuff like this. These are some of the meanest people that I have ever seen. You spend so much time talking about a Link card and what people are buying with it.
The Democrats say that they’re the party of the middle class. I have never heard a bigger lie in my life. The Democratic Party supports union workers who have higher wages and higher benefits. Only 13 percent of America is union and the rest of working Americans are non-union. Once the union dues are collected, 90 percent of the money goes back to the Democratic Party which is a money-laundering scheme. There’s about 30 percent of Republicans that are in a union, but they keep their mouths shut so they can get benefits.
Every picture tells a story
The “Breakfast group” is correct. We don’t need a picture of some teacher on the cover. I want to see a picture of that $350,000 in cash and 800 WIC cards in a suitcase. That’s the picture I want to see.
People like Jessie Jackson Jr. and other elected officials that get caught stealing should have their pensions and pay taken away — everything. Don’t let them have a thing and the political corruption will stop. You get nothing for cheating and lying.
I think it’s hilarious that President Obama and Speaker Boehner have been having secret meetings for the last week. But you never hear about the leader of the Senate, Harry Reid, a Democrat. Why isn’t he invited to these meetings? Is he so useless and worthless that he’s not even invited to these meetings? Or is he just not trusted to keep quiet?
In regard to the Dec. 15 article, “Judge gives Richmond ‘one last chance.’” Who’s going to be responsible for this young man for the rest of his life? How many chances is he going to get? It’s time to pull the rug out from under him before he gets completely out of hand. He told the probation officer that his phone number was none of his business. This guy is treading on thin ice.
The problem with the youth nowadays is that there’s no athleticism. There’s only a small group that are involved and everybody else wants to sit behind a darn computer or laptop. In the words of John F. Kennedy: “Run, jump, sit-up, pull-up and throw a softball.” Come on, let’s see what you got.
Whining in unison
What an opportunity that lies ahead. If the world really does end Dec. 21, it’s a chance for all the bitter Republicans to whine in unison: “It was all Barack Obama’s fault.”
If voting Republican is the “path to prosperity,” why are Republican-leaning states the poorest and most uneducated?
