Traffic charges: James Zupan, 42, 672 Longview Drive, was arrested Dec. 1 and charged with obstructing justice, reckless conduct, driving too fast for conditions, failure to stop at a stop sign, failure to yield to an emergency vehicle, reckless driving, improper lane use, disobeying a police officer, improper turn, defective loud exhaust, violation classification, expired registration, driving in the wrong lane and failure to notify Secretary of State. He had a court hearing in Waukegan Dec. 19.
Obstruction: Traci Kopernik, 42, 672 Longview Drive, was charged at her home Dec. 1 with obstructing justice. She had a court hearing in Waukegan Dec. 17.
Battery: Matthew Sims, 19, 40667 N. Route 83, was charged with battery at Walmart Dec. 1. He has a North Branch Court hearing Jan. 16.
Retail theft: Justin Persha, 33, 36871 N. Milwaukee, Lake Villa, was charged with retail theft at Walmart Dec. 4. He was remanded on a $25,000 bond pending a court hearing.
Warrant arrest: Jamesen Duwe, 22, 26610 Maple St., Lake Villa, was arrested on an outstanding warrant Dec. 5. He was taken to Lake County jail.
Violations: Tracy Leatherman, 34, Twin Lakes, Wis., was arrested Dec. 5 and charged with violation of bail bond and violation of order of protection at 665 Edelweiss Drive. He was remanded on a $25,000 bond pending a court hearing.
Criminal trespass: Patrick Patterson, 35, 286 Ida St., was charged Dec. 8 with criminal trespass to property at 278 Ida St. He has a court hearing in Waukegan Jan. 7.
DUI: Deborah Christiansen, 47, 320 Berkshire Drive, was arrested Dec. 9 and charged with DUI, texting while driving and driving in the wrong lane. She has a court hearing in Waukegan Jan. 11.
Resisting: Amye Humble, 39, 24589 Magnolia, Antioch, was charged Dec. 12 with resisting a peace officer. She has a court hearing in Waukegan Jan. 18.
Battery: Tommie Purnell, 27, Chicago and Christian Decatus, 29, 1040 S. Wellington Drive, Waukegan, were charged with battery Dec. 13 at Nutties, 65 W. Grand Ave. They have North Branch Court hearings Jan. 9.
