ANTIOCH — A 26-year-old male was found deceased in a vehicle in Antioch on Christmas Eve. The man, whose name was not released, apparently died of alcohol and exposure to the elements, according to Lake County Coroner Dr. Thomas Rudd.
The man had showed up intoxicated at his girlfriend’s house on Dec. 23. She drove him to a location in Antioch and left him in his truck to sleep off his drunkenness, Rudd said. The man was fully dressed. He was found deceased in his truck at 7:47 p.m. Monday, Rudd said.
Rudd did not have the location of the man and his truck.
There is no indication of homicide or suicide, Rudd said, and the apparent cause of death is too much alcohol and exposure to the elements. The coroner’s office will be performing a drug screening test, he added.
Further information was not immediately available Tuesday.
