Retail theft: Robinson Revolus, 30, of Chicago was charged with retail theft for stealing items from Target.
Retail theft: Mary Lyons, 53, of Gurnee was charged with felony retail theft for stealing $268 worth of groceries from Dominick’s.
Leaving the scene: Paul Cassity of Kenosha, Wis., was charged with leaving the scene of an accident, DUI, no insurance and improper lane usage. His car hit a truck near Route 41 and Delany Road and then drove away.
Residential burglary: A resident in the 800 block of Grace Lane reported Dec. 17 that jewelry, collector coins and an iPod were stolen from her home. On Dec. 23, a resident in the 300 block of Milwaukee Avenue said jewelry was stolen from their mother’s apartment.
Vehicle burglary: A homeowner on Oak Lane told police that on Dec. 18 his unlocked car was burglarized and his wallet was stolen.
DUI: Robert Griffiths, 22, of 1907 Country Drive, Grayslake was arrested Dec. 22 after calling police to help him find his car. He called police around 1:20 a.m. saying he needed help to find his vehicle behind Mickey Finn’s Brewery at 412 N. Milwaukee Ave. Police located the vehicle, but told Griffiths he appeared too intoxicated to drive. A breath sample showed he was above the legal level of .08. He told police he would have a friend pick him up. A short time later, Griffiths was spotted driving in the municipal lot near Tommy’s Bar at 137 Lake St., where he failed to stop at a stop sign at a pedestrian crosswalk. He was stopped and arrested.
Assault: Rubin Morales-Garcia, 55, of the 800 block of 8th Street, and Caesar Flores-Sanchez, 27, of the same address, were both charged with aggravated assault after the pair allegedly chased a roommate down the street with kitchen knives. The victim called police Dec. 14 just after midnight to tell them that he was trying to sleep while two other roommates in the converted house apartment decided to play music loudly. When he confronted them, they chased him out of the house and down the street to the 700 block of May Street.
