Lake County Crime Stoppers is offering a reward for information leading to an arrest in the robbery of a Fox Lake bank on Feb. 5.
At 2:41 p.m., a white male, 20 to 30 years old, about 5-feet 5-inches tall wearing a dark hat and scarf, possibly green, and a white surgical or dust mask over his facial hair walked into the PNC Bank at 66 E. Grand Ave., Fox Lake, and handed the teller a note demanding money.
The suspect fled through the front door. He was wearing a buttoned-down ski jacket with pockets in the front and black cotton gloves. No weapons were displayed or implied and there were no injuries.
The Lake County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Unit was called to the scene and tracked the suspect behind some businesses, but lost the trail near Holly Avenue. Evidence was collected and the investigation continues.
